Lufkin EDC is proud to partner with the Lufkin Convention & Visitors Bureau. Lufkin’s CVB promotes the city, attracts meeting, convention and tourism business, and enhances and contributes to the economic well-being of the city.
The Lufkin CVB is a non for profit, 501(c) 6 organization, incorporated in 1976. Funding for the Lufkin CVB comes from both the public sector (a percentage of the Accommodations Tax revenues) and private sponsorship.
Lufkin EDC is proud to partner with the Main Street Lufkin. Main Street Lufkin is a community development organization and works to improve economic management and strengthen public participation by making downtown a fun place to live, work, shop and play.
The mission of Main Street Lufkin is to work in conjunction with downtown property owners, tenants, employees, city staff, and visitors to facilitate a safe, clean, attractive, an economically viable downtown. While fostering historic preservation, a good overall image, and a wholesome environment, these goals will be accomplished by utilizing the Texas Main Street Four-Point approach system.
